Evaluations

Comprehensive evaluations and assessments

A neuropsychological evaluation is an assessment of a child's cognitive, emotional, behavioral, academic, and neuro-developmental functioning. The purpose of a neuropsychological evaluation is to understand a child’s strengths and weaknesses in order to understand why he/she may not be meeting developmental or academic demands. The evaluation typically involves gathering information from multiple sources, including the child, parents or caregivers, teachers, tutors, and therapists.  Testing typically consists of three, two-hour long in-person meetings with the child.  Zoom sessions are also available and determined if appropriate on a case by case basis.

The specific components of a comprehensive child neuropsychological evaluation may vary depending on the needs of the child and the referral question. Learn more about the process and what is included.
